hmm.. let me check when was my last post, march 11 2007. wow, tat was so long ago. almost 1 yr of blogless. hahaa... seriously, I almost forgot my user id and password, and most importantly, how to blog. Something weird abt my blog, no photos one. hahaa... i think probably tat's my style, and my blog is always full of ".", tat's my style again...

ok, back to wat I have been for the past 1 yr since my last post. still remember on the 1st week of april went for a job interview, but did not get it.. *phew, cos it was damn far away, juz next to the causeway(the one connecting singapore & malaysia)... then did a part-time job as an adventure instructor, went for abt 3-4 camps..

my time as an instructor: sometimes sianz, but confirm everytime is so tiring... have to go for a campsite for 3 days, then over there, have to take care of a grp of kids, accompany them to all the different stations, e.g flying fox and so on... i am very "jia liat(cannot make it) for 1 of the event, making a cheer for the campfire nite.... almost all the time I failed to get the kids involve in it... hahahaa... i like to see ppl do a cheer, but when come to doing it myself, I can be the most jia liat guy lor... overall was a good experience, as it was a bit related to what i have learned and do in the army, juz tat this time is kids, not soldiers..

while in this part-time job, went to enrol into SIM, taking a course, Bsc in Computer Science, by University of Wollongong(UOW). studying Digital System Security... yeah... then sch starts in july lor... so ever since then, I am a full-time student liao...

but of course, still working part-time, but not as an instructor anymore... now working in a cafe lor.. I think u guys know wat are the jobs available in a cafe, so I dun need to say much...

as for sch, same stuffs lor... study, projects, assignments then exams... hahaa... it is a routine liao... will try to blog frequently, but I think it will not be as exciting and interesting as my army days lor...

hmm... so many months since my last post... many things have happened.. The most important one is "I Ord liao"... yeah.. after waiting for 2yrs & 8mths, serving additional 6mths in the army, finally got my pink IC back... even though I have to change it soon, cos the photo is too old liao... Now being a NSmen, waiting for new unit posting and the starting of my 20yrs of NS cycle.. so long sia.. got to serve 2 cycles...

currently going to look for jobs, having slack at home for a month plus liao.. using money tat I saved during my additional 6mths tour... not a good thing sia, getting fatter, getting lazier.. got to get out of my comfort zone soon b4 I start to rot... hahaa.. bad, bad sia...

but then not sure how my next phase of life will be like, no goals, no target, no ambition... my ambition of being a pilot have long gone, since the day when I went for the pilot interview in OCS... thought of using the rest of the days in army to think what I want to be, yet nothing came out... so currently going to focus on getting a full-time job, go for further studies, spend more time w/ my family and friends...

ok lar, save some for other days.. hopefully will be blogging regularly, cos the habit is still not there yet...

hmm.. another long wait for this post... haiz.. actually dun even know if anyone read it.. but it's ok as this blog is only for me... erm.. did something tat will actually affect the nxt few months of my life... some say foolish, some say good choice, some.. no comment on it... I extended my national service.. some say is sign on, but I prefer to say i extend but with more money.. haiz.. now w/ the status of regular, a status which actually I dun really mind neither do I like being called... haiz.. dunno leh.. a whole lots of question mark.... nvm.. I will look at it positively, treat it as a prep for my future working environment & attitude.. & may the time when I really can shout "ORD" come soon...

hmm.. the last post was in april.. tat's quite far sia.. now is June liao... my recruits have passed out liao.. tmr, some of them will be posting out liao... hmm.. dunno is sad or happy.. sad becos they hav passed out and will be leaving soon.. happy also becos they have passed out and those really problematic one always creating troubles are going out soon.. hahaaa.. tat's something to happy abt.. but come tmr, it will be headaches for me and my coy again... 150++ people are coming in for the basic course... sianz arh.. this time round, the number of people is doubled or near 3 times more than the previous group... haiz.. y can't have a decent holiday.. by right, this week is block leaves, but end up in camp from mon - fri... to do my reports and so on.. sianz... money not easy to earn sia..
The month of May has been a very tiring and busy for me... all the major events of BMT is in that month... except 24km... and I am conducting 2 of the events... but it is broken up into 3 or 4 more parts... sianz.. the whole May has been quite a crazy one...
June will be busy.. now already mid-june liao.. tmr will be the start to all problems again... and the last thing is should I extend my ORD or not... actually I already have the answer, juz have to wait and see wat they have to offer... I dun want it to be too long.... yeah... I want to go further studies... and at the same time dun need to worry abt my monthly insurance fee... sianz.. so many conditions...
ok, now for more current post-events... last nite went WGS after dinner at grandma's place.. was quite shock to know something... AVA has more and more gals liao... haiz.. y my time Ms Chee dun allow gals to join.. hmm, & they have some not so bad one... haiz.. too bad, they are still in sec.. sianz.. nvm abt tat, then went for a game of soccer, quite shag after tat... luckily got bring clothes and towel.. if not I will be damn dirty lor... whole body was sweat... so itchy sia after the game... after bathing, went jalan kayu for breakfast.. juz a recap on the time.. play soccer from 1+am to 4+ or 6+am... then bathing took 5mins.. then went jalan kayu... reach there around 6am.. hahaz.. never slp leh, somemore I was driving... then go back WGS at 7+am.. quite shag after tat.. yeah.. tat's abt current post-events..
Hopefully tmr will be a better day/week... will try to control my temper on the new incomings.. and hope to get wat I want regarding my extention.. lastly, y is it my "one" haven't appear...

A long wait for holiday...

Finally there is a holiday after a long long wait.. but no matter wat, this week is still very sianz... cannot have a gathering w/ my brothers cause I got to go back camp on holiday's nite(friday)... got to supervise a training on sat's morning.. sianz.. never gather for so many weeks liao.. sat's afternn got a chance to meet out w/ my poly mates... went to china square for dim sum.. then went wheelock nydc for dessert and coffee, then went to play pool at lucky plaza... quite a memorable one.. as we hardly have the chance to gather after graduate... gald that all of them are doing well in the army... but eventually, this week is still very sianz...my comp is infected by a worm and a fake spyware detector.. no matter how I try to get rid of it, it still install by itself.. luckily, my trusting "yahoo" search some help for me... hopefully my comp is as healthy as b4... lastly, no more chatting in msn like before liao.. dunno if it is my fault or wat.. somehow this week my msn is very very the quiet.. someone is not online.. maybe is working or wat lor.. I won't know... haiz..

Last week was quite fun.. firstly, it is the end of PTP for the recruits.. tmr will be the start of BMT... all of them have improve on their phyiscal... 3 of them has passed their fitness tests.. the number is small, but when compare to the first test, whereby all of them failed, I think 3 is quite good liao.. of course, I would have prefer at least 60% pass... nvm, will make them harder... last week was Engr Week.. we had exhibition in our camp... sianz.. only ITE students came.. no JC students... haiz.. Thursday went to nee soon camp for our anniversary parade.. quite a big one, quite interesting.. too bad, my seat was not a good spot... cos can't see the fire works, only can hear loud bang.. at nite, got D&D at MOS... quite creative leh... had it in a club and not a formal dining-in... but I prefer dining-in... as we paid so much, in the end juz go there dance, a few entertainment games and buffet whereby some of them have no chance to get hold of some food.. at least dining-in, everyone confirm will have food to eat, beverage to drink and people serving too... and Chief having to remind all to keep silent as he was giving his speech.. all becos of some inconsiderate "uncles", they look drunk... but overall not so bad lar... 1st time went MOS... luckily they are open to public after 10pm.. if not we would have bored to death will all the uncles and defeats the purpose of having events in a club...
will try to update as free as I am... tmr onwards I will be super busy.. got to be Ensign tmr.. got to carry state flag for the bmt weapon presentation....

hmm... last week my recruits are 2 weeks old liao... hahaa.. quite tough for them as some of them still not used to army life... caught 3 of them using handphones when they supposed to sleep.. everyone will wonder will cannot use handphones when sleeping... no choice leh.. this is not the civilian world... they have to slp if not they will be slpy the nxt day and is dangerous to themselves and the others... haiz.. gave them the last warning... the way I talk is quite harsh but no choice... hmm... I think my eyes are getting weaker liao.. dunno why... & I am getting fatter & fatter.. but for now, still can run faster than most of them.. but muz do more exercise liao... still waiting for my university reply... hopefully can secure a place...

haiz... so fast 18th March, 2006 liao... dunno is good or bad... good becos my ORD date is getting nearer & nearer... bad becos I will be getting very busy from april to june... maybe even june to july... has been in camp for the past 2 weeks... confine w/ the new recruits cos sat & sunday they got training.. they only confine for 1 weekend.. but I have been in camp even b4 their enlistment day.. so far quite manageable, juz a few that require a few more PC sessions than the others.. overall quite fun but tiring.. cos have to wake up early & slp late.. hopefully I can tahan all the way till I ORD... dun want to suffer from depression sia.. hahaa... quite happy to see most of them are getting stronger as each day passed.. a handful of them can do abt 6 pull-ups liao... considering that they can only do 3 or even 0 when they first came in.. some will feel weird, where got so fast process to 6 pull-up one... I too find it weird, but that's the fact.. maybe due to the new physical fitness package or watever... hmm.. wondering how it is like to go to their pass out parade knowing that I & my group of sergeants have trained this group of people... I think I will cry sia juz like their parents... seeing them grow day-by-day... from a childish boy to a mature man... I think that's how my PC felt when he went to our POP.. all of us have gone thru the phase of recruits not knowing how emotional our instructors can be..

this week was quite busy for me... first program of the week was the "Instructor Prep Course" held at another camp... 3 days course.. but for the 1st & 3rd day I have to go back to my camp for close combat grading.. so tiring sia to travel camp to camp.. learned a lot of thing from the course.. mainly on physical training tat we have teach the new recruits tat I am going to train... a lot of physical training I never learn and do b4 during my recruit time...
after the 3 days course, thought tat I can have a good slp on b4 going back camp the nxt day.. but a bad news came... as all know someone great has juz passed away... while watching the 10pm news, my boss called and said I have to be report at esplanade the following morning... so early leh.. that's the beginning of 3 busy days where everyday is spent at the esplanade.. this is the first time tat I go esplanade so early(8am) and have been there for so long... kind of having phobia of tat place liao... nevertheless, I felt quite honour to help out in the event.. in charge 1 of the level, directly above the ministers and VIPs... the feeling of watching it at the actual place and from the LIVE telecast is so different... but then 3 days of working at esplanade is also no joke sia.. so tiring, as the plan keeps on changing, no time for lunch & dinner, still have to run from left to right, up and down to make sure everything goes smoothly & as plan...
1st big event of my life... hahaa...

After CNY...

hmm... friday liao.. haiz.. so fast CNY over liao... nevertheless, it is still a good rest.. I think slim down a bit during CNY.. hahaa.. cos never go and touch those CNY food.. hmm, now juz need to carry on w/ regular exercise and controll my diet to get back into shape..
1st of feb, did tug-of-war, only managed to get 2nd... haiz.. cos my team all so small size one.. the opposing team all like sumowester... so much heavier than us.. even if we use body-weight also lose to them.. in the end, become so shag that my hands & legs are juz like jelly, no feeling and cannnot stand properly, gasping hard for air...
hmm.. tmr going for dim sum buffet.. hahaa.. long time never go there liao.. going to get fat again.. after that have to go my boss's place.. hmm.. will update again..

Chinese New Year! Gong Xi Fa Cai...

It's Chinese New Year again... the day whereby kids love, as lots and lots of hongbaos to take, tonnes of food and drinks, and a long holiday from study... I love it too... can rest and at the same time, visit relatives tat I only get to see once a year... hahaa.. I also love that the xtra income that comes with the festival... but that juz the bonus of it... the money eventually have to give to my parents as they have take their money out to give hong baos to other children too...

1st day of Chinese New Year, same routine as other years... go temple in the morning, then my grand-aunt house, then my grandma's place, then my aunt house, whereby I am being call "Uncle" by the younger ones, then back to temple... Juz came home after watching "Fearless" w/ long time brothers; siang, hao, j and sheng... too bad the rest cannot join us due to other committments... nevertheless, wished them have a good time no matter where they are.
The income on the 1st day is alright lar, not much difference from other years, but I predict the 2nd day will be bad.. as this year my family not going to so many places to "bai nian"...

Wish for this brand-new-year; Top of the list is:
1. Everyone to be happy and safe.
2. Mum and Dad's business continue to get better and money keeps coming in for them.
3. Get a place in NTU.
4. Have a girl in my lonely life of so many years... (hahaa, every yr fail one.. wonder if this year got any miracle or not)
5. Hope the coming mono-BMT that I am going to take will survive well and become a real man at the end of the course.

Ok, that's abt it.. will update again b4 I go back camp...

hmm... last christmas was kind of sianz.. stay at home whole day.. do nothing.. except that attend a dinner in camp, not tat bad... juz eat and play a few games lor... as for new year, not tat special too.. juz went out w/ a few brothers to watch movie at orchard.. not really tat many people except outside Cinileisure... I think most of them go to Esplanade... cos got fireworks mar.. after the movie, juz nice going to midnite.. lucky never kanna the white foam spray.. overall, quite a boring day too.. as no happening things.. May 2006 be a fanstastic year w/ lots of laughters, happiness and rewards to all the hardwork that we have put in...

quite sianz sia... going to post over to another company to take BMT for mono-intake... cannot drive the boat liao... have to teach/train ppl liao... in short, it means lots of work, preparation, reports coming soon....

hmm.. after being away for 2 mths, thought of blogging occasionally again... this week very sianz, sprained my ankle when playing basketball... hahaa, but then still play basketball after injured my leg, now the ankle swollen liao.. looks bad, but hopefully should be alright... hmm, later still have to back camp for a X'mas dinner.. not tat bad, as it was some form of gathering, but this weather make its look like going to be cancel... once again X'mas is ard the corner, yet again, this yr I will be spending the day alone.. or the most with a few guy friends... haiz.. when will my Ms Angel appear... hopefully she will appear soon.. 2 weeks ago, watched the "Zombie 3" on ch 8.. tat esp abt a couple go and borrow fate.. then muz capture the fate when it comes.. only got 3 trys... hmm, I wonder if I have missed all the fate tat come to me from young till now.. surely I really missed some as I never approach to chat or introduce myself.. haiz..

got to go back tonite... sianz.. leaves over liao.. now is work, work & more work till I ORD... haiz... hmm.. these few days keep thinking of a gal... I think she stay quite near me... cos last time during my poly days, whenever I have to take 6.25am - 6.30am bus, she will always be at the bus-stop... hahaa... after graduated liao, and after enlist, never saw her again.. until last monday's evening.. I think I saw her at NTUC... hmm.. I think now she is in SAJC, should be JC2 liao... haiz.. last time never grab the chance to go talk to her... now only can regret liao.. if only I have the courage to go talk to her, cause last time really got a lot of chances, but then I never appreciate it, maybe things will be different now, or will it still be the same... big, big question mark... hmm.. dun think abt it liao.. leave things to fate ba... or can we create our own fate... hahaa.. shall see how then...

This week my company got to clear leaves.. so I am on leave today & tmr... but then tmr morning got to go back camp... go back to do some stuffs, if not monday will be super busy and no time for me to finish my things... so better be safe than sorry... sacrifice my leave & go back work for half a day... haiz... "Min Ku" arh... money so hard to earn sia... kenna new freshly polished arrow... die liao... haiz.. getting shorter and more white hairs coming out liao... results of more works & responsibility added to the piece of cloth on my shoulder... nevertheless, still have to do it & w/ quailty too.. if not how will my man look at me... they will sure laugh until all rush to toilet...

yeah.. yesterday is my bdae... celebrated at my grandma's house... quite a fun one.. got sec sch friends, poly and army friends... long time never meet my poly friends liao.. ever since all of us are serving the nation, we dun have the chance to meet out... this is really a good time to catch up with one another... last nite was very nervous when come to cut cake... never in my life, I have to chance to see so many people surround me to sing "Happy Birthday" song.. usually I am among one of them singing the song to someone.. but yesterday was different... hahaa.. dunno how to react to tat... stone down there.. Want to thanks all those tat took out their precious time to celebrate my bdae... A big Thank You to all of u, ladies & gentlemen, young & old...

hmm.. this week quite boring, except that went for an exhibition, IKC2, the one tat news also got report... also last friday BBQ... quite alright, other than tat, these 2 weeks quite boring lor... haiz... this month has been very bored.. ever since something happened, I have become a no-life man liao... haiz.. come to think of it, I am the cause sia.. everything becos of me, then got this kind of outcome... ok lar.. cannot look back anymore and waste more time... muz look forward & look far...

hmm... 2 weeks since the last post... wat have I been doing... I also dun really remember liao.. but usually is the same thing lor... but last week a bit different... last thursday did the first report since I was posted to the camp... sianz sia... hate to do report sia... so many things to do.. need to investigate, question witnesses, read their statements and so on... also need to ammend the report sooooo many times... headache sia.. this week almost have to do any report.. also on thursday... but luckily boss see us so shag liao after 3 days of exercise, and gave the report to someone else to do... had quite an exciting week... had driven boat from seletar all the way to east coast park... can't believe that local sea condition can be so bad sia... the wave is so much higher than my boat... see liao balls shrink to the size of grapes... most of the trainees and some of the instructors also kanna sea-sick... some vomit in the boat, some head pain, some sick.. haiz.. but no choice, still have to go thru the wave to our destination... hahaa.. me no problem... maybe becos I was the one driving, and dun have the time to go and think of other things.. except keeping the boat from being eaten by the waves, and making sure everyone make it to the destination.. cos I cover safety mar.. not bad sia, now got the experience of going thru bad sea condition.. but then drive until my back pain and injured my thumb, cos have to save a boat from being drown... this week ate changi nasi lemak for quite a few times... I admit it is very nice, but the price a bit high sia... got 1 not bad, but not as popular, only $2... the rest a bit expensive... at nite at east coast, saw quite a few couples... hahaa.. they went into the bushes and disappear sia... dunno where they go sia... hahaa...
this month pocket money gonna hurt quite a bit... got a few friends bdae this month.. last month also very pain sia.. hopefully oct won't be tat xiong.. hahaa, October, my turn liao... *hint..

yeah... nowadays I getting more & more tanned... almost everyday go out-sea... today went to diana's bdae party... not bad lar... got quite a few chio bu(s)... got all time pretty girl from sec sch... still so pretty ever since sec sch... and 1 of her primary sch mate also not bad... but too bad, never take the initiative to talk to her... haiz... hmm, kind of disturb by the words from 1 of my brothers... say wat at 2 weeks ago at 1 of our brothers bdae should have done tat kind of thing to the girl to make me "si xing"... so irritating sia... juz dun understand why he can have so much "tao hua yun"... and then me, until now still dun have a single "tao hua"... LIFE IS SO UNFAIR!!! why some guys can have everything that they want even if they are not so good looking or watever... I admit I also not good-looking.. but why the hell he can get all the things tat he wants... is it really becos of the words tat I have wrote 8 yrs ago to a girl tat I really like, tat makes me really have to wait 10yrs b4 I can be free from the so-called "curse"... but one thing I really agree is tat, sometime words from ur closest friend can really hurt damn lot... juz a few words from his mouth makes me so irritated... even though I dun have the thought to jio tat girl liao... but these words really really hurt sia... damn bloody swines!!!!

Going back tonite cos I dun want to wake up so early to book-in tmr morning... hahaa... this weekend nothing much lor... not boring nor happening... juz normal meet up w/ siang, hao... this week a lot of the brothers got duty.. so quite quiet lar... sat's nite went K Box with shuxiang, siang & hao... b4 tat went J8's Sport Connection to buy a water-bottle w/ pouch.. yeah... cos need water when out-sea mar... last week use the 500ml bottle.. not enough leh.. somemore cannot hook onto the pants.. very ma fan.. ok lar... gotta go... hopefully this week will be fun..

hmm... I have been a platoon commander for 1 week liao... hahaa.. this one week has been use for observing and familiarising their names... generally my men have been quite a fun batch.. some are naughty & playful, some are quiet & obedient, the rest a bit here & there... this is quite good as this will make the platoon more fun... hahaa.. a bit siao sia.. maybe becos I am new to them, so they dun dare to create much problems for me... my upper-study is also very good... giving me a lot of tips and advice... ultimately he is the one controlling them as I am still under-studying him... eventually, some of them in my platoon will be ORD-ing with him... this week has been quite fun, going out to sea for quite a few days.. has been sun-tanning... also got drenched when it rained, no shelter cos we are in a boat, and in the open sea... will get used to it one.. hmm... today saturday and I am at home rotting... haiz.. hopefully someone will call or msg me to go out.. sianz..

hmm.. now is 6am, Monday's morning... going back camp 1 hr earlier to do some serving on my helmet... over the weekend, it was quite boring except when I meet a few brothers to go watch "Seven Swords"... not that good nor bad... juz a normal show loh... b4 the movie, went to play pool with sheng & han... haiz.. my skill so lousy liao sia... not like last time tat focus... after the show had our dinner, which is around 12am... at the same time, siang came to meet us... he was at home after his dinner... hmm.. sunday is juz like a routine lor... went grandma's house... then after that, came home and rot... hmm.. this week forecast, today go back camp, tonite go home... tmr National Day... wednesday, going marina for the NDP Carnival.. thursday & friday in camp... hmm.. Friday got 15km run, should be fun.. so long never run that long distance liao.. dunno still can do it or not leh... then saturday going hao's bdae party.. hahaa.. gonna drunk him... ok lar..

UIP is over, sad becos this is a bit like our honeymoon period in our new unit, should be getting a lot of work to do the coming week.. happy becos we are part of the big family in our unit... yesterday had our initiation, which I think is a bit boring, firstly, becos it was raining.. tat took out a lot of fun... secondly, the organiser had a heritage tour for us, which include looking at photos that he had in his hand and identify each of them... to his disencouragement, we knew all of them... cos his first-hand info is that we dunno anything of the unit & the camp... then part 2 is go to the Officers' Mess to be initiated... all senior officers were in the Mess.. we had to ask permission to enter the Mess so many times and so loudly... the senior officers are so funny one sia, we shouted so loud liao, yet they still can reply "cannot hear!"... hahaa.. sometimes they do have their young kid character.. like to play, have fun... u will never see them like tat outside anywhere except for the Mess, as that the only place to be relax and de-stress... hmm, luckily never kana drink that much cans of beer... juz 2 mug... hahaa.. but some of us already blur after tat, and the face was so red... b4 drinking still have to answer questions, if answer correctly then dun need to drink.. got 3 questions and we managed to answer 2.. not bad.. I think if we have to drink the 3 mug, some of us cannot stand up and walk liao... hahaaa.. tat's how bad our alcoholic level are...
at the moment, we still dunno where we are going... all the bosses cannot come to a conclusion to who they want to go to their dept... have to wait for the big boss to make decisions... maybe have to wait till nxt monday or so... haiz.. when will I know my posting.. high chances of not getting what I want... sianz liao... by the way, anyone know how to insert song into blog??? so tat it will play the moment the blog is open...

heehee.. actually I not suppose to here one... I should be in camp sleeping... but then they dun have the bunks at the moment, only got 1 for us to put our barang barang... so we have to go home sleep... hmm, 1st day of UIP, not that bad... quite enjoyable, the only thing sianz is 1st day have to take test liao... so fast sia.. on the spot go through everything, after that test liao... 1st day quite fun, get to see all the old friends... Most of them, the Specialists are at Alpha Company... feel so great to see them after 3 - 4 months... hope they have the bunks today... if not have to stay out again.. have to wake up so early... if dun have bunk, I think I tontie go Alpha share bunk with the Specialists liao... hahaa...

The Starting of A New Week & A New Chapter in my NS Life...

Today is 1st Aug, 2005... This day marks the new beginning of a lot of things... Going back to my unit take up either command, instructor or staff role... I hope is command as I dun like to do paperwork & I would not want to teach cadets as there is a lot of things tat u cannot do, and they are not directly under ur command... I challenge myself to be a good commander, a good leader for my man to follow... feel a bit excited to go back, not very excited as we will have 4 days of Unit Induction Programme(UIP) first, to me it is Unit Initiation Programme, which include Officer Mess Initiation, tat will see all of us drink like never b4... we will have no time to rest and the whole time there, we will be drinking cans of beer non-stop... Should be quite fun, as I can prep myself for hao's bdae which is 2 weeks from now...
Have a great time last week... have our rewarding Off day on Thursday, sat & sun... also had a little sweet memories, where-by we are at a beach to see the stars, sea-breeze... & watch movie with her... even if it is a short one, I am happy liao... Eventhough we cannot be together, I am glad tat she has know how I feel towards her and the reply tat she gave me... This has rather clear my minds of all doubts and allow me to concentrate in my new environment...

Finally after 10 months of gruelling and tough training, all of us made it to our day... So happy and almost cry sia after throwing our peak cap into the sky... Waited for this day to come so anxiously... 10months of Officers Cadet Training have changed us from boy -> man -> gentleman -> Leader...
Once again, 1 part of our NS life has end, and a new beginning has juz started... awaiting us to take up our role as commanders of our man, lead them & take good care of them... Monday going to our unit liao.. got good and bad... good, finally going back to Seletar camp, miss all the Specs a lot sia..
Bad is all of us, the 2LT, are going on our way liao.. different camps, different ways... gonna miss them a lot sia, cos all of us went thru lots of shit, hell, hardship together... have created a great bond, brotherhood along the way...

YA HOOO!!!! 1 more week to Commissioning Parade... excited but nervous sia.. the parade is so important to all of us... last friday, receive my appointment certificate and my precious sword which I have waited for 10 months... gone thru shit and hell juz for this sword... for the end product of this course is not juz for the sword, is the things tat we have gain and earn over the 10 past months.. friendships, brotherhood, knowledge, leadership, fighting spirit, all the core values, physical and mental strengths... all these are some of the many things we have gained and earned from OCS... Really glad tat I have made the right choice during BMT... the feeling, the bond tat we have created, is indescribeable and is something money cannot buy even if u have loads of it...

yeah!!!! 2 more weeks of tough rehearsal to my Commissioning Parade... Waiting for this day to come for 10 months liao... Have been a trainee for 1 yr plus, since the day I was enlisted... haiz.. hate the rehearsal sia... damn xiong... 1st month and last month of Cadet's life is soooo tough and hell sia... nevertheless, I will do my best and tahan through this 2 weeks...
hmm... this month got sad and happy stuffs... as for sad, 3 more friends of mine was OOC(out of course), they OOC juz 3 wks b4 commission parade... haiz.. hopefully no more of this OOC thing... so scarely.. and I hope I won't kanna too... train so hard for so long, last min then say "u are out of course"... wao kao... I will go die one leh... they were kick out due to some reasons that the instructors think is serious... haiz.. ok lar, as for happy thing, I got my marksman... hahaa.. the new marksmanship test is so difficult and tricky sia.. only got 8 or 9 cadets got marksman...
hmm... I wonder nxt weekend can go home or not... cos dunno got rehearsal on sat and sunday or not leh... ok lar, nxt week or after I commission then post again...

Back from Ex. Crescendo, Thailand...

hmm, 1 month never post liao.. hahaa... where have I been???
last thursday juz came back from Thailand... was there for 2 weeks... from 10th June - 23rd June... went there for training... weather-wise, it was hot from abt 10+am - evening.. at nite, it was cold, as it will usually rain, then from head - toe, u are wet all the way... food-wise, the same old thing, bee hon, tom yam soup(R&R).. the same old crap... but their tom yam soup is amazing.. Singapore version, the soup is red and can see all the chili.. Thai version, the soup is transparent, u can hardly see the chili, but when u drink it, the sourness, the spicy all rush to ur brain telling u it is tom yam soup... As usual, training was tough as wat u would expect oversea training to be... learned a lot of new things, as I was bridging trained, it was quite hard for me as I dunno a shit abt Field Engineer.... so I go there do all the field engineer things... at first, it was very hard, and very pai seh, cos as an officer to be, I dunno how to do all the things tat they are doing... obviously, I would try to learn all the things as fast as possible, helping out in anyway I can so as not to slow the platoon/team down.... hmm.. Beaver Venture was a killer... Little food, have to walk long distances, do mission, rush timing, holland, but overall, it was tough yet rewarding & fun... hmm, 1 thing to mention, the canteen has a few chio bu that u never expect to see in a army camp... there's one for look like zhang ziyi.. hahaa... u never thought tat she was a thai as she was very fair... way fairer than a normal thai.... ok lar... overall, my trip there was rewarding, fun and enriching...

hmm.. end of May... good or bad or both???? for me, I think is both... good cos tat means I am a bit nearer to my commission date... bad is becos I will be going back nee soon camp, haiz... think of the camp and I start to shiver... dun like the life there even if the facilities are better than my current camp.... but wat I like and enjoy at Seletar Camp is wat OCS and SOCE can never give or provide... the scenery, the sea, the sea breeze, the old camp type of atmosphere... so peaceful, so relaxing... OCS and SOCE is so tense up, with so many ppl challenging each other for the best trainee spot... and they are too clean and it makes u very very discipline... cos got a lot of seafood walking around... haiz.. nevertheless, I still have to go back and take up the challenges that are laying in front of me... have to tackle them 1 at a time, if not will suffer like hell and can never turn back...

hmm... now is may liao... is it fast or slow??? fast in a sense tat now is may of 2005... slow as I am still a cadet... still got 3 months till commission... wah, damn long sia.. but nevertheless I will tahan and bear with it... As we have suffered and survived for 7 long, grudging months... I dun see the point where we cannot tahan the nxt 3 more months... even if the road ahead is not tat easy, I know we will overcome it and excel...
nxt week onwards, I will be going to lim chu kang for training for a month... so far sia.. but luckily, we will be booking in and out from seletar rather than lim chu kang... for my friends who are staying in jurong, they are really sad abt it... so near to their home yet have to come back to seletar first... now we finished our boat package, this month will be doing comet package... will be damn tough and difficult, both mentally and physically... will not have enough sleep.. so most likely nxt book out onwards, I will be slping at home all weekend long... hahaa...

Quite a fun but tiring week...

last 2 weeks never post any blog... heehee.. cos too busy liao... last week was quite fun, learn how to operate boat... do some driving on the boat... the training is quite fun but the preparation for it was tough... all the necessary component training b4 launching the boats into the sea... e.g carrying the boat and walk for a distance... carrying the motor in different ways and walk a distance... these are tough sia.. and have to carry the full load boat into the sea is another killer... so damn heavy... (e.g, boat: 160kg, motor: 66kg, fuel tank & fuel jerry can: 20kg, other stores: 20kg)... and at the end of the day, after our training has end, we still have to keep all the stores, got timing to meet one... 45mins to keep everything, nxt week's timing is 30mins... haiz, dunno how to do it sia...
hmm.. but I am looking forward to nxt friday... heehee... after book out, go back sec sch to visit my teachers.. they having the last speech day for the sch... hopefully can go back, if not nxt yr onwards dunno go where to find my teachers liao... ok lar... I shall end here...

Change camp again!

haiz.. me changed camp again.. this time changed to Seletar Camp... go there train to be Bridging Officer... this time round, only 9 cadets go over there... along with 50 corporals... go there train with them, and nxt time after they got their sgt rank and us, our officer rank, we will be working together again.. hmm... so far the impression of the camp to me is that it is very old sia.. all the facilities are very old... but 1 thing good is tat it is less regimental... but we will be more phyically demand as we are dealing with heavy stores and equipments... going to be there for 2 months then will be going back nee soon camp to prepare for our oversea training... haiz.. hopefully this course will end asap... going to be in the NS for 1 yr soon... fast sia..

this week was quite xiong for me... monday and tuesday had an Exercise... not the normal physical exercise... for this Exercise, we did planning... all on planning, from monday's morning till tuesday's afternn... shag sia... only got to slp 2 hours... after the exercise, all of us are like zombies... so damn tired... never know tat do planning also can be so shag one.. used a lot of brain juices and cells... almost fell sick... then wednesday is also quite xiong... first half of the day, went to the lake in our camp to learn bridging... the bridge is so f**king heavy sia... 6 persons have to carry the 150 - 200kg bridge... and the weather is so super hot... we felt like we are in thailand... got to construct the bridge, dismantle it and reconstruct again... after the bridging, most of us kanna sun-burned liao... after the bridging, all of us went East Coast Park for our end of term 1 gathering... some sort of Cohesion Gathering.... went there to run and cycle 15km... after that had our BBQ session... damn shiok sia... finally something fun abt this course... hahaa... for the finale, we threw our instructors into the sea.... hahaa... thursday have IPPT in the morning... can't really run sia... legs very pian after the 15km run/cycle... but still manage to get silver... hmm, muz improve my physical level sia.. cannot always stay in silver, it's time to strive for gold liao.. after tat got to book out at 10pm... shiok arh!!!! finally got long weekend.. haha.. at least I hope so... no phone call from camp, pls!!!
not very sure what will I be doing for this weekend.. maybe catch 1 or 2 movies... gather for lunch or dinner with friends... hopefully get to see some chio gals over the weekend to keep my morale and spirit high.... hahaa... that's abt it...

life in School of Combat Engineer, very regimental, not enough slp, discipline, lots of extras and confinements... every week have the feeling of kanna xtras and confinements.... haiz... but 1 thing for sure... learned a lot in there... doing things tat infantry will never do... hmm... friday nite went airport to send those in Alpha Wing... They going Thailand for 3 weeks... I going Thailand too.. but is in June... hmm.. tonite got to book-in again... haiz... got to tahan for another 5 days and also 21 more weeks b4 commission parade..

Back from Brunei....

Came back to Singapore on Wed's mornin.. but have to book-in to my new camp on that same nite... haiz.. not enough rest sia..

Went brunei for 10 days for training... a really good experience to me as this is the first time that I train oversea... enjoy my time there.. especially when we go for our 4 days jungle trekking... climbed countless hills and knolls plus 1 mountain... drank the streams and river water... slp in the open with rain over u... saw lots of insects that u dun get to see in Singapore... and 1 of the highlight is have to swim across a river with all our gears, and we swim twice... 1st is for the familiarisation, cos 1st time mar.. 2nd time is after our 4 days of jungle trekking... so shag sia... keeps thinking that there are crocs in the river to make myselft swim faster, but seriously i think there are crocs in the water lor, else they won't have to create some explosion in the water b4 we are allow to swim across the river...

back in singapore, went to my new camp... got culture shock when I reached there... the same feeling when I first went to Alpha in OCS... but this time round, it is more regiment and strict on drills and focus more on standardisation among everyone.... and this is the first time that I see all of my instructors, up to my CO.. are of the same pattern... 1st nite, my friend kena 3 xtras liao... so fast leh.. can't believe sia...
haiz.. tonite got to book-in again... have to get used to life in there fast.. if not I think I will suffer a lot sia...

book-in on saturday nite.. cos we have platoon live firing on sun... sianz arh... sunday kanna burn again... know my posting on friday's nite... I am posted to Nee Soon Camp, School Of Combat Engineers... will be spending the nxt 5 and a half months there...

Sunday, have our platoon live firing from morning till monday's morning... did 4 rounds of live firing... the first round was very tiring and tough.... damn shag sia... maybe becos get into the rhythm yet... got to run up a steep slope for 3 times, crawl up a knoll tat is 60 degree in angle... sianz arh... so hard to crawl sia.. the whole knoll is full of big and small rocks... almost faint sia.. the first round started in the middle of afternn, the hottest part of the day... after the first round finished, almost cannot stand and breathe properly sia... after tat, had our lunch, no appetite sia... after the first round, the following rounds got better and better... maybe becos all of us are into the tempo liao...

Monday, not much of events... only manage to slp for 3 and a half hours... slpt at 3am and woke up at 6.30am... haiz.. our WSM wake the whole wing up... say want to have our parade rehearsal now... dunno wat tat guy think sia.. the rehearsal suppose to be at 7.15am... but he wake everyone up so early.. all of us are lack of slp... after the rehearsal, I went for my support arm kitting... got a bag of stuffs... inside got so many things sia... after tat, went to rest for a short while then go for lunch liao... after lunch, still got another briefing... cos we are going brunei right after CNY... then after tat briefing, got our Wing internal briefing, so called end of term conclusion... then at nite, we still got our 24km route march... luckily, they gave us 2 hrs of slp b4 the walk... if not, everyone risk will be too high and put "no go" liao... our route march starts at 10.30pm... which is half and hour late... but manage to catch up with the others bit by bit... practically, we are doing fast march for the whole 24km... hahaa.. the others are having slow walk..

Tuesday, the route march finished at 6am... then we still have to walk up the elephant hill for our 3rd bar presentation... by that time, all of us are damn shag liao... struggling to keep awake... can't believe tat I can slp while standing up sia... hahaa... but when it was time for us to put on our new ambulet, everyone is super awake liao... 1 steps closer to commission... the last white bar tat we will receive in OCS.. after the presentation, still have to walk back to our camp, which is abt 3km away... had a small celebration back in camp, everyone spray water, 100plus, champage, and watever we can find on each other... hahaa... quite happy sia... but in the end, all good things have to end... all of us can't bear to leave each other... the bond tat we have create... all of us are like 1 big family.. going thru the hard time and good times together... after tat, went back home after de-kitting... meet Ms Chee, and all brothers at Causeway point for lunch.. but siang, hao and jeremy have to go cos they got things on and they have been there since morning... then me, hongching, hanwee and yongtian take over the 2nd part... at nite, went to my uncle's house for reunion dinner... all of them are so shock to see me sia... hahaa.. becos I changed a lot liao mar... all cannot recognise me liao.. after tat, met siang, hongching, hao, hanwee and jeremy go river hongbao... go there count-down... hahaa...

Wednesday, CNY!!!! Wake up at 8+am... start work at 10am... total, went to abt 5 houses in the first day.. not a bad start... income wise, still ok lar...

Thursday, went to work again... this time with my father side, went "ba nian" with my cousin, uncles and aunties... hmm, total went to abt 5 houses with my cousins, after tat went to my mum's side one.. abt 2 houses... after tat, went home liao lor...

friday, boring sia.. got to go back camp in the morning.. 8+am reach camp.. got to pack our stuffs for brunei... 1+pm then book out... got a hard time packing the bag... so many things to put, but so little space... but still manage to squeeze abt 30kg of stuffs into the bag... at nite, went to UK funfair, played the skyfire... not tat scary lar... but still manage to feel the blood rushing to the brain... the only thing not used to abt the ride is when it went the reverse way... hahaa... wanted to play other things, but all quite ex sia... some are $15 per ride.. so ex and I dun think it is tat scary lor.. I think I save money go genting play better... hmm.. after tat, went hougang KBox to meet siang, hao, ziwei, jeremy and hanwee... go there, first thing is make me drink a mug of beer liao... so fast sia.. then still got 1 jug for me... nightmare to me sia.. cos I dun drink that much alcohol one... hahaa... then we went for supper....

saturday, bascially is quite boring lor... stayed at home for the first half of the day... then went to meet friend for dinner and movie..

Sunday, sianz.. sianz.. sianz.. going off tonite... from my clock, left 2 hrs of stay at home.. then have to go liao... sunday, very routine lor.. went grandma's place then come back liao... now at home waiting for the time to come for me to go... haiz.. going to miss a lot of ppl... but, hahaa.. 10 days only.. very fast one lar... Cya guys 2 weeks later... I'll be back for more!!!!

This week basically not much programs... monday's highlight is the ICCT... learn basic locks... had a good time but at the same time got quite some pain... tuesday, had our Navigation exercise again.. this time is at Mandai... can see woodland, and we are veri near to the zoo... the day navigation was quite eventful, firstly, our first checkpoint was a big cock-up... the MGR given was wrong, and we were searching at the top of the knoll for a checkpoint tat was not there for an hour plus... the actual MGR was abt 300m away, which was quite a big error... and the main thing is, it was at the foot of the knoll... at nite had our nite navigation, which was quite easy, able to finish in an hour...
wednesday, if I was not wrong, we had SOC... basically, only those who failed will take the test again.. I was a pacer for tat day, I pace my friend, and in the end, his timing was 8min55sec.. which was a good result as his previous timing was 10mins...
thursday had our 16km route march.. our minimium timing to meet is 4hrs 45mins.. the standard timing is 4km an hr.... the time we took to finish was 3hrs 19mins... tat was fast, and all of us was wondering if we had broke the record of OCS for the fastest time to finish 16km... basically we are fast marching...
friday had our ICCT again.. this time is Intermediate Locks... quite fun also... then we book out at nite... shiok sia.. nxt week we will know our posting liao... dunno will stay or post out... stay in infantry got good and bad.. good is may have the chance to post to HQ to do admin work... bad is that we have to go thru ALPHA convertion course, which I think will be very tough... and one important thing, I dun like to chiong in Infantry.. I want to go Signal... but the competition is very tough, only 1 platoon size will go... which we had to fight for among 3 wings... 300 ppl fight for 30 seats... wow.. hard sia...

This week, hmm.. not much adventurous things... Monday mostly is lesson all the way... POI lessons... Protection of Installation... learned how to protect installation in Singapore, definition of POI and why do we have POI... from the lesson, I learn that POI has only started after Sep 11 attack that happen in USA... so the government set up POI to protect important installations, e.g. Jurong Island, all ministries and heritage installations... after having lesson from morning till afternn, we had SOC in the evening... chiam sia.. failed the SOC... stuck at 1 obstacle... luckily I passed the SOC b4 I go field camp, cos now I think I will have a hard time passing it...

then on tues, we had a navigation exercise at lower mandai.. I start from Bukit timah reserve, then we have to find our checkpoints... walked from bukit timah to macritchie back to bukit timah then back to macritchie again. so troublesome sia... this exercise quite adventurous cos for my first checkpoint, my group 2 hrs juz to find it, it was hiding somewhere in the vegetation along a stream and we had to walk in the forest to look for it.. can't use the track as it was in the middle of nowhere... my group managed to complete the exercise in time and came in 3rd or 4th.... that's a big consolation to us...

wed was quite a slack day, had MOI in the morning, had to do a 5mins presentation to my section and section instructor... I talked on "Weapons of mass destruction"... hmm, got a few good comments, e.g my instructor said it was an interesting topic... haiz.. nxt week got to give 20 mins presentation, muz find more info for the topic liao...

thurs, nothing much lor.. morning helped to set up the "Warriors Hall" which will be use this coming sunday... then bascially is area cleaning all the way, and had our 4km Full battle order route march from 11am... under hot sun and was doing fast march... the spirits of everyone was quite high as we are booking out after the route march... finished the route march in 32 mins... which was quite a achievement to us, but to our Wing Commander, we did not meet his target of 30mins... nvm, we had more route marches in the coming weeks.. 4 more to go under the damn hot sun...

Today book out in the afternn, but the bad thing is have to book in on sat's nite... sianz arh.. cos we have to help out in the commission parade on sunday, and no cadets are allow to book in on sunday as the president of Singapore is coming to SAFTI... prepare to have lots of security in place.. sianz sianz sianz...

Finally finished all the 3 field camps for Service term 2....

Halo... shiok and happy sia.. finished all the 3 tough field camps... 3 weeks of continous field camps... the first one is quite a dramatic one as we were being call-back on Sunday's afternn and move out for Tekong on tat nite... then having to brave through the days of lack of slp and cold of the nite, as it was raining and we did not bring our cortex jacket... then we came back on thursday and able to book-out for the weekend... then on the following week, we went for field camps at tekong again.. move out on wed's morning, and back in camp the nxt week wed's nite... 8 days of continuous field camp was a tough and demanding one... the first 4 days is all able platoon attack, learned and do all the attack drills in the day and nite.. then never slp much as we have to do guard duty at nite to prevent intruders... the last 4 days are defence field camp.. this was one of the toughest as we are to dig trenches, shellscape, command post, MG post and ovbservation post... shellscape is quite easy to dig, spend abt an hour plus.. then we dig our fire trench in buddy level... spend the whole nite digging and dig for 2 days... as it is required to reach our chest level when we stand in there... and basically the whole ground is full of rocks as wat the road name has said for itself "Rocky Hill".... for this field camps, we slp not more than an hour a day.. some of us managed to slp more... finally got to book out... spent the weekend eating... hahaa... miss all the good that the civilian world offers... I had enough of combat rations and food provided by the SFI and NTUC... hmm.. ok lar.. I think I shall end here.. go to play game.. never touch it for 2 wks liao... itching hand liao.. hahaa...

hmm.. going back to camp at 5pm... sianz arh... going tekong for field camp on wed.. last day of the field camp still have to do 16km(most likely 24km) route march when we reach Singapore... going to a damn tough month... wat a great start to a new yr... as wat a friend of mine has said, look at the bright side, think positive... I will give it a try, treat it like a outward bound camp... hahaa.. go tekong play catching... hope I can come back in 1 good piece and not with limping legs or wat... hahaa..
hmm, sat and sun is quite boring, not much actions going on... sat went army market to stock up stuffs for field camp, then went home play game liao.. then evening went to cousin's house for a small gathering among all the cousins... then went to temple for awhile after tat went to meet chensiang and the others for supper... Sun.. as usual, went to grandma's place... play with my baby cousin.. 2 months old, very cute and adorable... hahaa.. then now back at home, preparing to go back camp.. tired sia... maybe catch some slp b4 going back... dunno wat is install for us tonite...

hmm.. today is 1st Jan 2005 liao.. so fast sia... this yr 21 yrs old... another door to more responsibilities & become more mature... now I am a bit closer to my Commission Day... hahaa... commission on 23rd of July, 2005... last nite went orchard w/ the other brothers(siang, hao, sheng)... haiz.. walk here and there.. so congested sia... upon touch down at somerset, went to cinileisure to look for them... then we walk to PS to check out the time slot for "Kung Fu"... haiz.. no available seats in PS.. so we went arcade play for awhile... hahaa.. I lucky sia... got to play a game w/o having to pay.. cos got a family playing the ... dunno wat it is called.. the one tat can have 4 players, shooting game.. played until my hand pain sia.. got to kill tat stupid Commander.. and this game reminds me of my Patrol field camp... so many missions and sub-task... then siang went to look for FengMing... hahaa, she look the same since secondary sch.. then we walk back to cinileisure for "Kung Fu"... after the movie, went to Hilton to look for Jeremy.. after reaching there, I stayed for awhile then go home liao... they stay there to wait for him...

hmm... last nite book-out.. it's a surprise to all of us, as we thought we do not have the chance to go home liao... cos it was 10+pm.... we book-out at 11+pm... reached home damn shag liao... never bath, juz went to slp and woke up at 12+nn today.. hahaa, slp so long sia...
abt the field camp, let me give a bit of story on it.... Sunday's noon kanna recall back to camp.. reached camp at abt 3pm... then prepared my field camp things, 5pm had our briefing for the field camp, then 7pm on our way to Ferry terminal liao.... reached our campsite abt 9+pm... then do all the preparation things, like our harbour area, designated sector... thought can slp liao.. but in the end had a short takan session... due to our disorganised way, everyone was juz lying down anyhow, no one on guard alert, our Wing Commander decided to give a bit of lecture... after abt 30 mins of lecture in the push-up position, we are released... set-up our tent, all of us on 100% alert due to the disorganisation earlier on... then guard till abt 1am monday's morning... had our first mission... we do the planning from 1am - 6am... got to plan all the things for the mission ourselves... first time doing it too... then rest for awhile.. 50% alert, that means some of us go slp, the rest on alert, rotate the duty.. then woke up at 8am, had a bit of breakfast, then move out for mission liao... all the missions lasted for abt 5 - 6 hrs, not including the planning part.. everyday we had 1 mission in the day, another nite in the dark.... first 2 days very tiring and demanding as we are still trying to adjust to the element of slping a lot lesser, eat irregularly or never eat at all, raining whole day and so on... tues and wed rained for the whole day, all of us are drenched to the max... resting and planning in the cold with rain on u... we are very happy when we have reach thursday... did our final mission tat ends on thurs's morning... when we reached our harbour site, cannot slp, got to clean weapon... basically, from wed's afternn till thursady nite when we book-out, we don't have any slp... when we reached our camp, it was none stop action, clearing all our stores, preparing for nxt wk fieldcamps.... now all of us are proud to have endure the field camp, book-out and at home resting, hopefully can go count-down or at least meet-up with friends..

Going back to camp... lots of field camps coming up...

today sunday... kanna call back.. muz be back in camp by 3.30pm... sianz arh... then we will have 3 field camps in 3 consecutive weeks... dunno how to survive sia... ok lar.. going to tekong for 3 wks.. confirm going to be a very tiring and stressful month... going back to camp liao... cya guys after 3wks or a month, if I even survive... hahhaa... juz kidding! muz pray hard for me wor.... Friday... Christmas's Eve... nothing much lor.. morning went J8 to watch "National Treasure" alone... hahaa... I am a guy who watched movie alone... then walk ard in J8.. change a lot liao sia... then bump into Ziwei... chat for awhile then I go off liao... then meet siang and the others at nite... go PS walk walk.. sianz sia.. all the movies is either very late or someone watched liao... then we go bugis to watch "Seed the Chunky".... not nice sia... waste my money... then go home slp.. end of friday liao.. then sat, morning wake up then slack all the way till noon.. until when I was watching TV, my dad told me today is Christmas leh.. army market got open meh??? I was shocked as I forgot that it was Christmas.. immediately changed clothes and go army market.. but then idiot sia.. took bus 70 go there, not knowing tat Nicoll Highway has been repaired.. in the end alight at Suntec and walk back to beach rd... at nite meet siang at his place as I have to pass him the coat cover... hmm, after tat went to meet rachel and her friend, which at the same time, is siang's primary sch friend.. so qiao sia.. meet at thomson for prata.. hmm, behind the scene of having prata.. siang and rachel got a plan... tieing knot for me & their friend... seriously thinking... her friend not tat bad lar... it's ok to know more friends... after prata, we send her friend home.. after tat, kanna tease all the way.. buay tahan sia...

Long Weekend becos of Christmas & upcoming field camps...

hmm... haven't been updating my blog since 2 wks ago... hmm.. allow me to recall what I have done... basically, nothing much also... all are concerned abt military, army... so I think I better dun talk much of I have learned cos some of the lessons are really really dry... ok.. let's talk abt last week... monday's morning wake up and had our NTU run with our Wing Commander... hmm.. monday blues still have to run abt 6km in the early morning.. after the run, do a bit of PT(physical training)... last for abt an hour.. Monday-Wednesday is all abt the same lesson... dunno can say or not leh... aiya, juz some military training.. then tuesday had SOC(standard obstacle course), I clocked 9min 31sec.. after seeing my result, I almost knocked the wall sia... I missed the OCS standard by 3 secs... tuesday's nite, we had Christmas Celebration in OCS's Dining Hall... shiok sia, our Wing won the most number of prizes.. we also took the 1st prize which is a X-Box... too bad, I never win anything... then wednesday's morning had NTU run again with Wing Commander... then we had a short PT for abt 15-30mins... if u are curious abt wat we do for PT, juz a brief introduction... we did pumping(push-up), crunches, 45degree leg raise, alternate leg thrust, swimmer stretch... the most interesting one is the 45degree leg raise, we keep our leg raise and at the same time sing songs... after tat we had SOC in the morning again... this time I clocked 8min52secs... I passed OCS standard, but I still need to pass my Wing's standard which is 8min29secs.... haiz.. want to cry sia... only if I had the obstacles a bit faster... hmm.. then send the whole day preparing for our field camp... book-out at nite... then went to makan with my platoonmates... then reached home at 1+am...

Finally, 2 months has passed... 8 more months to go... hahaa... time seems to pass very fast.. but when see the number of months left... time seems to pass slow... sianz arh.. now have finished my Tri-service and Service Term 1... tmr is the starting of Service term2... the longest service term... 9 wks... going to be a tough term.. cos this is the toughest term in OCS.. a lot of outfield.. and platoon field camp that will kill everyone.... ok lar.. going to book-in..

Endured Section Field Camp !!!!

this wk juz finished my section field camp in tekong. as usual, field camps are tough, tiring, mentally & physically demanding... but it does have it's fun part too... first 2 days of the field camp, we had navigation exercise... walking, bashing, running abt the whole of tekong looking for checkpoints in full battle order... damn tiring sia... last 3 days have our section movement training... learned a lot of drills... crawl around a lot sia... crawl until my legs and hands got blue-black liao... came back singapore on the friday's nite.. spent half of sat cleaning our equipments and then book-out at 4pm... so late sia... today have to book-in early again.. yesterday after book-out spent most of the time at home doing my reports... got 2 reflections and 1 instructor appraisal to do... haiz... hope this 10 mths pass faster... still got 8 more mths to endure.... waiting for the day that I commission.... I think I will cry on the spot when I commission at the parade square, looking back at all the pains that I have suffered to get my 1 chocolate bar...

Sad Sad Weekend!

now is 6.10am in the morning of Sunday... so early sia... no choice leh, got to wake up early to do my homework gave by my Sir... booked out on friday nite cos sat's morning got to go Sentosa for our Cohesion Day... Sat's morning also wake up very early... woke up at 5.30am.. cos I am the Cohesion Day committee member for this Cohesion Day... so have to reach there earlier to set up the place... Over there, we played captain ball, beach volley, beach soccer and a lot more games... gals wise, there wasn't many pretty girls when I reached there... but when it is abt 10+am or 11+am, a lot of pretty girls in bikini start to show up... too bad, our event is ending soon... we ended at 1+pm... over all, it was good to go there and play b4 our section field camp which is tomoro... sianz arh.. going back tekong for a tough and hard time... b4 I book-in muz go measure my weight first... then when I come back from the field camp, muz weight again to see how much Kg I lose during the field camp... haiz.. today got to book in very early... I think I book-in at 3pm or 4pm... cos got to go back early to prepare my things for the field camp... so as to prevent from being takan during the inspection... but I know all of us will be takan even though we did our job... haiz.. got to go back do my homework liao.. cya nxt weekend or nxt nxt weekend...

Singapore MotorShow 2004

Yesterday went to Suntec to see the MotorShow with my cousins... reached there ard 3.15pm... at first want to take the stunt performance tickets but the queue was too long... so we can't watch the 5pm one... have to wait for the 7pm one, and the ticket will be given out at 5pm... so we go and see the cars first... upon stepping into the exhibition hall, we are at the Subaru and Lambogini booth... both manufacturers have displayed beautiful cars... 3 lambos... so nice... so beautiful... and 1 of the lambo has it's scissor door open.. so cool sia.. over at Subaru, they got the show girls... but to me, they lose to the cars.. but got 1 can make it lar... first time tat I saw a Subaru WRC rally car... so chio... if only it was mine!!! the exhibition was at level 4 and 6... the main features of level 4 was the ferrari, lambo, subaru, mazda, mercedes(all are heritage cars), lotus and that stupid car tat can float on water... level 6 are cars tat are more expensive... Rolls Royce, Porche, honda, peugeot, toyota, nissan... and level 6 got more chio show girls... 7pm watched the stunt performance... actually I watched it b4, which is 2 yrs ago... but I have no regret to watch it again.. this yr got 1 new stunt... car dancing with the music... if only I know how to upload photos and videos... snapped a lot of photos, and recorded quite a few videos... if got time and the knowledge, I will post up here... ok, cya guys!!! got to go back camp liao... I want to be a CIVILIAN!!!!

yesterday book out... then this wk is long wkend.. but our long wkend is not as long as those tat are in BMT... their long wkend is from wed's nite to mon's nite... so long sia... last friday did my IPPT test... in OCS, got a lot of IPPT test.. the previous wk one, friday one, nxt wk one more... so tiring sia... I under-performed for my IPPT test... last wk got silver.. this wk juz a passed... die liao... confirm being aimed by the instructors.... most of us have under-performed due to the pain tat we are experiencing at or thigh and leg.... we had IPPT specific training on wed's morning after the 5BX. got 3 stations... my first station is standing board jump.. we jump around the 2 basketball courts for 4 rounds and at 2 corners of the basketball courts, we did 20 tuckjump for every round... when we finished this, our legs feel like jelly... no strength at all... then we went to our 2nd station... chin-up... did 4 sets of 8 and after every set muz do 30 push-up... after this, all our hands & legs become jelly... and the last station is running upslope.. we got to sprint upslope for 100m, then jog back down.. have to do this 5 times... after all this, all of us are totally shagged out... so tiring, my whole body sweat can fill 1 pail of water liao... and we haven't makan breakfast... maybe it is a good thing not to have breakfast first... after this IPPT specific training, my legs have since pain until now... and this causes some of us to under-performed for our IPPT... on sat, we had half day full of theory lesson... and nxt wk we are going to do the practical... haiz.. going to die sia... nxt wk will be another siong wk... or maybe more siong than this wk...
Nevertheless, I am going to enjoy my long weekend first... last nite went to my "xiong di"(brother) house... he is celebrating his 21st chinese birthday... quite fun although nothing much is going on... then went home at abt 11+pm... this is the first time I go off so early.. cos I still got assignment to complete... but until now, I haven't finish it... then later on, going to grandma's house first then go to suntec for the motor show...

Tiring Week!!!

Basically, every week in OCS is tiring.. lots of PT, lots of punishment, lots of lessons, lots of drills... erm, lots of everything... every week got a lot of new things to learn... learn until my brain going to burst... a lot of white hairs coming out liao... STRESS ARH!!!! every week got so many tests... sudden tests too.. if fail got to stay back in camp and book out late by 4 hrs... I dun want tat sia... need to memorise so many details... sian man... hands-on, theories...

1 more wk left... and I will be going to Tekong for my section field camp.. it is said to be a 5 days field camp... but I think they will extend it to be 7 days or even 10 days.... cos my Wing is said to be traditional in doing this... extending of field camp on the last day where everyone is thinking of going home... haiz, tmr nite got to book in again.. sianz, BMTC and SISPEC got long weekends.. we dun have... wat is this man!!! so bias to us... maybe becos we are paid more, so we are expected to suffer more and go thru more hell than them... this is wat I think when it comes to money... hahaa... hmm.. this wk did my first 7km run in my life... have to meet the timing target of 37mins, but I overshot it by 2 mins.. that's bad... but to me, I think it is alright as I have gave my best shot... never stop during the run except once for tieing my shoe laces.. stupid sia.. cos me at least 1 mins... dunno if they will ask us to re-run or not.. cos some of us never meet the timing.. hmm, now we have reach 7km... very soon it will be 10km and more liao... infantry is like tat one, run a lot, chiong a lot.. chiong means go into jungle, forest, those outfield to chiong... not clubbing, pubs, bar or disco... ok lar... I think I shall end here.. leave some for weekend...

2nd book out!

This week had my 2nd early book-out... book-out on friday.. yeah, that's very good.. as not many wings got friday book-out... but I know tat this will be the last as from nxt week onwards, everything will be very rush and all book-out will be on sat's evening... haiz, 1 month in OCS liao, end of our Tri-Service Term, starting Service Term 1 on monday.... we were very sad on friday, as some of our platoon mates are going off to Mids & Air wing... they are veri lucky sia, can go to the other wings, dun have to tahan all the punishment tat Alpha Wing offers... let me give u a short intro on Alpha Wing...

Alpha Wing:
The most xiong and tough wing in OCS, has a reputation of being the best Wing since OCS starts, which is from 1970... most of the instructors of Alpha Wings were previous batch of cadets tat graduated from Alpha... but Alpha Wing's cadets are also the most bonded and motivated ones.. as all of us go thru the same shit and encourage one and another on the way... and all the punishments and tough training make all of us more bonded...

hmm, this week book-out on friday, no one was at home when I reached home... hahaa, give my family a surprise as they do not know I book-out on friday.. then I went Hougang point for my dinner and bought some stuffs, deodorant, hair gel & chocolate... sat's morning went East Coast Park for our "leisure" run... it was compulsory for all of us to go... ran 6km and played some games... then we went off at 10+am... went parkway parade's BK for breakfast cum Lunch... abt 16 of us went to Bk... as some of them are going off to mids and air wing, so we had this small gathering.. then after tat I went to grandma's house, as it was my uncle's daughter's full month... after tat went army market to find my friends, went there to buy my 2 white bar rank.. yeah, promote to 2 white bar liao... but we are still trainee as it is white bar and not black... then went back to my grandma's house, as there is 2 session, one lunch, one dinner... cos my uncle and his wife got a lot of friends, so they seperate it into 2 sessions.... after all this events, went home and do my stuffs, damn tired sia..

Sunday, I hate sunday as I have to book-in again.... going back ard 5pm... got a lot of things to prepare and I haven't do my reflection report tat my Wing Commander ask us to do.. die liao... he is Liet-Colonel... and we are juz cadets... die liao...

Back from my 3 weeks confinement...

Home-Sweet-Home!!! finally get to go home... 3 wks confinement in OCS... been thru quite a bit, but I have to say tat this is juz the beginning of wat is going to be a very tough and demanding 10 mths course... never thought tat I would be able to get into OCS... cos the competition is very strong and most of my platoon mates in BMT want to get into OCS too... when I saw my posting is OCS, I was very happy... But when I am in OCS and I know my Wing, I was very scared... this is wat all of us feel... the Fear in everyone of us... haiz, I think dun think so much lar... hmm, 3 wks in OCS, life is hectic, stress.. lots of lectures, and tonning sessions.... but all of us know tat more of these are on our way....

hmm, got to go off liao.. still got a lot of things not done...
